Neem Oil Mixing Calculator: Ratio, Gallons & Spray Bottles

Scale a neem oil mixing ratio to any batch size without assuming every neem product uses the same rate. Use the verified 70% concentrate example or enter the exact rate from your own label.

Choose the Natural Guard 70% concentrate example below or enter the rate printed on your own neem product label. Different neem formulations — and even different labels for 70% concentrates — are not interchangeable.

Neem oil mixing ratio: why the product label matters

There is no single universal neem-oil-to-water ratio. Concentration, formulation and labeled use vary by product. For a concrete example, the Natural Guard Neem Oil Concentrate 70% product linked below lists 2 tablespoons per 1 gallon of water, equal to 1 fl oz per gallon. The newer ferti·lome Green 70% label uses a broader 2–4 tablespoons per gallon range for its insecticide/miticide directions, so do not transfer the Natural Guard preset to a different bottle just because the active-ingredient percentage matches.

The preset above is only for the Natural Guard 70% product example. If your bottle gives another rate, switch to Custom product-label rate and scale the number printed on your own label.

Once you enter a label rate, the same math scales to a quart bottle, one-gallon pump sprayer or multi-gallon backpack sprayer. The result shows tablespoons, teaspoons, fluid ounces and milliliters so you can use the measuring tool you actually have.

FAQ

How much neem oil do I use per gallon?

It depends on the exact product. The Natural Guard Neem Oil Concentrate 70% example on this page uses 2 tablespoons per gallon of water, which equals 1 fluid ounce per gallon. A newer ferti·lome Green 70% label uses 2–4 tablespoons per gallon for its insecticide/miticide directions, so use the rate on your own bottle rather than assuming all 70% concentrates are identical.

What is the neem oil to water ratio?

Neem products are not standardized to one universal concentrate-to-water ratio. Use the rate on the specific product label. The calculator can scale a custom tablespoon, teaspoon, fluid-ounce or milliliter rate per gallon.

Can I use the same rate for cold-pressed neem oil?

Not automatically. Cold-pressed neem products and clarified hydrophobic neem-oil concentrates can have different formulations and directions. Do not transfer the 70% concentrate preset to a different product unless its label gives the same rate.

How much neem oil goes in a 32 oz spray bottle?

Using the Natural Guard example rate of 2 tablespoons per gallon, a 32 oz batch is one quarter of a gallon and scales to 0.5 tablespoon, or 1.5 teaspoons. If your product label uses another rate, enter that rate in the custom mode.
